Academy 3: Glasgow Science Centre
Location and directions
 The academy will be held at Glasgow Science Centre (GSC), 50 Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51 1EA. The nearest railway station is 'Exhibition Centre' which is a 10 minute walk away. There is a covered walkway from the station to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), from there keep right, walk past the Crowne Plaza Hotel and over the river Clyde to GSC. 'Exhibition Centre' train station is on the Argyle Line with regular services running from Glasgow central station low level platforms - journey time is 4 min. Lunches and dinner on Wednesday, as well as lunch on Thursday will all be provided by GSC; breakfast will be at the hotel on Thursday, and tea, coffee and yummy biscuits are provided throughout the course.
On Wednesday between 6:00pm and 7:30pm we will have GSC to ourselves to explore and have fun on the exhibits. Alternatively you can use this time to take a break and book into the hotel.
Parking
 You are very welcome to use GSC’s car park. Let us know in advance if you are planning to do this so that we can arrange sufficient passes.
Accommodation
For those of you travelling from outside the Glasgow area, accommodation is provided at the Jurys Inn Hotel on Jamaica Street in the city centre. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station. If you would like to walk from your hotel to GSC please use this Google map
