Academy 4: Centre for Life, Newcastle
We are really glad you are joining us for the dialogue academy at Life Science Centre.
Location and directions
The academy is held at Life Science Centre, Times Square, Scotswood Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4EP. The nearest railway station is Newcastle Central which is 200 yards from Life Science Centre. The Tyne & Wear metro also stops at Newcastle Central Station.
If arriving by train, turn left at the main station entrance, walk a short distance and you should see the Life sign in front of you.
The nearest airport is Newcastle airport which is 20 minutes from Central Station by Tyne & Wear Metro. We recommend the Metro when travelling from the airport.

Lunch and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided both days of the academy along with dinner on Tuesday and breakfast at the hotel on Wednesday for those staying over.
On Tuesday between 6:00pm and 7:30pm we will have Life Science Centre to ourselves to explore and have fun on the exhibits. Alternatively you can use this time to take a break and book into the hotel.
Parking
If you are bringing your car you can park in the nearby Times Square multi-storey car park, located on Railway Street, adjacent to the Centre. Please let us know if you plan to bring a car and we will give you further information about parking.
Accommodation
For those of you travelling from outside the Newcastle area we have booked accommodation for you at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel is about a minute’s walk from Life Science Centre.
